LeAnne Pleasant, MSW, LCSW
I believe that all people have the ability to change, manage, and grow from their current circumstances. I truly enjoy working with my clients and have helped them - for over 25 years - to address their concerns and issues and move forward to a more enjoyable life. I have been especially successful working with clients who suffer with Depression, Anxiety, Stress, Trauma, and Substance Abuse. Further information about my treatment approach to each can be found under the 'Services' heading above. I have also had extensive experience working with clients who are experiencing Life Stage challenges such as Marriage, Divorce, Baby, Grief, Relationsip loss, etc. After Graduate School I worked with underserved populations, and in hospice settings which allowed me to gain the ability to see another person's suffering through their own eyes. Therapists call this "meeting the client where they are" and that is the most important way to begin Therapy. Understanding that each person is an individual with their own unique concerns and feelings is the basis of my relationship with clients. From there, we can develop the tools to facilitate insight, relief, and change which works best for them.
To round out my clinical education in Western Psychology, I also studied and pursued training in more holistic practices such as Mindful and Somatic Therapies which are frequently utilized. I am excited to bring the depth and breadth of all my experience in working with my clients today.
A little to know about me personally is that I love learning, reading, music, yoga, concerts, plays, Netflix, and Pizza!!!
